Release notes – Cloud

• [Labfolder] – Error messages regarding entry and element locking are now more specific. Particularly, error reporting has been improved for collaborative entries.

We are excited to announce that we’ve recently released a highly anticipated feature: Collaborative Authoring. Here’s what you need to know about the new feature:

• [Labfolder] – Project Creation: When you create a new project, you’ll be directed to the “Share Settings” screen. Here, Admins or Project Owners can choose whether the project will be “Contributive” or “Collaborative”, while other users may view this screen to check whether or not the project is “Contributive” or “Collaborative”.
  • Contributor Editing: Users with “Contributor” editing rights will have the ability to view all entries within a project, but can only edit their own entries.
  • Collaborative Editing: Users with “Collaborative” editing rights will be able to view, create, and edit entries in the project.
• [Labfolder] – Project Ownership: Admins or Project Owners can also switch a project between “Collaborative” and “Contributive” modes by simply clicking on the designated chip on the Labfolder entry.
• [Labfolder] – “Created By” and “Last Modified” Sections: Each entry will indicate the creator’s user profile and the last collaborator who modified it.
• [Labfolder] – Collaboration in Real Time: While actively collaborating on an entry, non-editing collaborators will see a banner indicating “[Your Collaborator’s Name] is editing – View Only” mode. The non-editing collaborator can still export the entry as a PDF or view its change history during this period. In “View Only” mode Admins, Sub-Group Admins, and Project Owners can still take over editing rights, if necessary.
• [Labfolder] – Seamless Transition: Once the editing collaborator clicks “Save” or “Cancel,” the “View Only” banner disappears, and the non-editing user can begin making changes to the updated entry.

• [Labfolder] – A bug affecting the display of tooltip information has been resolved – the boxes should no longer overlap when they are hovered over.
• [Labfolder] – A bug affecting the autosave capabilities of sketch and image elements has been resolved – Unlocked sketch and image elements will now save automatically.
• [Labfolder] – A bug affecting the project link in entry headers now only leads to the corresponding project – not the entry’s folder.
• [Labfolder] – Now, entries being edited during the project type being changed from collaborative to contributive, maintain the user’s content. The content is saved and the user is momentarily taken out of editing mode, depending on the collaboration settings of the entry’s project.
• [Labfolder] – Users who are editing entries can now also see, reflected in the entry header, that they are currently editing. Previously, this information was only available to collaborators of that entry’s project.

• [Labregister] – As usual we have been busy behind the scenes making a number of little fixes to help improve the overall performance of Labregister.
• [Labregister] – Users no longer need to hover over icons to perform an action when accessing Labfolder via tablet or mobile, you can now simply click directly on the icon offering a much smoother navigation flow.
• [Labregister] – We have also made some cosmetic improvements to the category overview. You might have noticed that the ‘all items’ counter has now been aligned to the right-hand side of the navigation menu.
• [Labfolder] – An issue that affected text elements within a data entry causing them to reduce in size once saved has now been resolved.

• [Labregister] – This release includes a lot of bug fixes:
• [Labregister] – We noticed that when adding values for a dropdown attribute, the space to add it is far too small to edit. Now the space is as high as the option field height, so the whole field is editable!
• [Labregister] – On tablets and mobiles we fixed an issue caused by the side-bar blocking the pop-up windows.
• [Labregister] – We also fixed the unwanted duplication of items in Categories that some users were experiencing.
• [Labregister] – Also worth noting is a bug fix disabling save when there is an ongoing file upload. Previously, the save button was enabled during a file upload, however, if the save button was pressed when the file wasn’t entirely uploaded it would result in the file not being attached to the item. This has now been resolved!
• [Labregister] – We noticed that an export of a Category does not export the modification and creation dates, now these are included.
• [Labregister] – Additionally we fixed an issue that meant that endless scrolling within the All Items View resulted in items disappearing from view.
• [Notebook] – In our notebook we fixed a bug that shows an error message when trying to save a Data Element with LR Items where the User has no permission to.

• [Labregister] – This release we have been busy making improvements to Labregister Categories. We have added a counter for the Categories on the right hand side, so you can know exactly how many items are in that particular Category, enabling a better oversight of all your items.
• [Labregister] – Furthermore, we also added an improvement that allows a user to directly see which Category an item belongs to. Now it is possible in the item details page to see which category an item belongs to, so it’s easier to keep an overview of all related Categories.
• [Labregister] – To ensure that everyone can make the most of Labregister simple search feature, we’ve added a help button which explains how you can use wildcards to streamline your search!
• [Notebook] – Over in our notebook we have been busy fixing bugs. One was preventing users from adding a second image via the Ctrl + V function and would replace the first image instead, which we have now fixed. Also resolved is an issue regarding the button to remove long custom dates from entries when the date got too long.
• [Notebook] – Another bug fix enables the download of table and well plate files from XHTML export to have the .xlsx file extension so files can be opened using any suitable application.

• [Signature Workflows] – We fixed some misbehaviours when rejected data entries should be moved into another project section.
• [Labregister] – We now provide you with more flexibility – Resize or Hide material attribute columns. Sort by different attributes or pick which attribute columns to even show in your material list overview.

• [Text element] – We improved some of the text formatting, here especially focusing on the option to create lists of various kind.
• [Comment] – Ever wondered why the first comment was added by clicking ‘Reply’? We fixed that, now you’re able to ‘post’ your comments onto your colleagues entries.
• [Custom Dates] – A vast amount of custom dates was hard to add. The new scroll bar now simplifies this process.
• [Labregister] – Building new API endpoints for bulk actions: Stay tuned for user interface updates on this topic!

• Sometimes, PDFs with special characters on the title were not being displayed. This will not happen again.

• We’ve tinkered with some elements and polished some rough edges. Labfolder is now better than it was yesterday.

• [Signature workflows] – Our team made several under the hood improvements to make the entire app faster.
• [Signature workflows] – We fixed a small issue that prevented an entry from being witnessed via a workflow.
• [Exports] – Since we were already making speed improvements, we expanded our efforts to the Manage > Exports page.

• [Data Elements] – We now support asian characters in our Data Elements.
• [Data Elements] – We fixed a small issue with Descriptive Data Dlements that was preventing the element from being saved.
• [Signature Workflows] – We just made our brand new Signature Workflows much faster !
• [Signature Workflows] – The XHTML export now also exports the signatures for each entry.
